Moms for Modesty

Over at Everyday Mom's blog she has a petition going for modest clothing for girls.  I can not even tell you what a struggle it is for us to find modest clothing for our 14 yr. old daughter.  If she wears shorts we have to get them from the boys dept. for them to be long enough.  We get shirts sometimes 2 and 3 sizes too big so that they will not be skin tight.  Oh and dresses for church are about the worst.  We would like a simple young woman's dress but the styles for my daughter's age are atrocious.  I agree with some comments that we need to be fine tuning our sewing skills and not be so dependent upon the retail association.  If you support this cause they have even made a button for you sidebar.

Tell when did people start thinking that young girls..not just teenagers want to dress like streetwalkers???

I have a 16 year old and I swear its a running battle!!
