Template tweaking, my baby's 12th birthday, and lo and behold roosters......

Well, I have tweaked and tweaked and still do not have this site the way I want it.  I wonder if you ever do.  I figured with it coming on apple season and then fall I would put a little fall flare into it.  However, when it is still 96* outside it is hard to think on fall.  I guess I can dream. 

Today is my daughter's 12th birthday.  I remember the day we brought her home from the hospital.  It seems like yesterday.  I can not even tell you how quick the time is going by.  It is trully sad.  It's also sobering to know that I have very few years left to plant seeds for God's kingdom.  Here is a picture of the message her daddy left on the bulletin board for her this morning. 

He is just the sweetest man.

As for Rooster's, my sweet DH has gotten this idea of getting meat chickens and processing them.  So we have some friends who had way too many roosters and wanted to give them away.  So DH thought that would be good practice.  Ok, so we go get the roosters lastnight for him to process today.  He is full time Ms. Army National Guard and they have every other Monday off.  Anyway, so we keep these roosters in a cage all night in the barn.  So first thing this morning they call from work and tell him he has to come in because of the hurricane in the gulf.  Ofcourse, then we have to let the roosters out because it is cruel to leave them in this cage.  Now we have roosters running around the yard.  Oh my the perils of living in the country and having an entrepreneur type hubby.

As for the hurricane,  it is in the gulf but not even headed this way praise the Lord.
