Manic Monday

As many of you well know, I love these.  Here is my manic monday that I got from Carla.....

You can tell alot about where a person is from (time and location) by the words they choose to describe things, happenings, items, etc... So let's see where you are from by your answers.

Is the weather term you would use to describe a hot, humid summer day something like wicked hot, totally hot, brutally hot, hot enough to burn your biscuits, or something else? I think I would say something more like unbelievably hot or incredibly hot.

Do you call a sandwich of deli meats and cheeses on a roll a hoagie, hero, grinder, po' boy, submarine, or something else? I say hoagie or sub sandwich. 

Having flapjacks, pancakes, or griddlecakes for breakfast? Pancakes

Are you having relatives, relations, family, or kin over for a cookout, barbeque, BBQ, or grilling?We say we are going to grill or barbque.

Do you turn on the spigot (pronounced spicket) or call it something like a faucet or tap? I say spigot or faucet depending on the mood I love the word spigot though! LOL

Do you have frosting, icing, topping, or something else on the top of your cakes? I frost a cake.
Will be having a dinner or supper tonight? Most definitely supper!!!

Do you use the word trash, rubbish, waste, or garbage in your neck of the woods? Trash or garbage. 

What do you call the insect that looks like a large thin spider that skitters along the top of the water? Waterbug, Jesus bug, waterstrider, watercrawler, backstrider, etc.... I  call it a water bug.

You know that accident you saw on the road the other day- the one where traffic was crawling by? Was it called rubbernecking, gaper's delay, gawk block, Lookie Lou, etc...   I have never even heard these words before......  LOL

What do you call the ends of the loaf of bread- a heel, end, crust, nose, shpitzel, future bread pudding...? The ends

Do you have a basement, cellar, bulkhead, or do you call it something else? basement but in this part of Mississippi very few people have one.

What do you 'call' when you want to lay claim to the front seat of a car? Hosey? Dibs? Shotgun? riding shotgun
