The events of the day....

Well, its already begun to be a busy day around the homestead.  My son is cutting the grass before it gets too hot.  I have been playing with my blog and have it about the way I want.  This stuff is tooo addictive.  Now I am off to do laundry and hang it out on the line.  I have some more home blessing to do such as make beds, straighten the bathroom, straighten my desk, and do anything else that I see needs to be done before the weekend.  After lunch, we will go to town to take my oldest daughter to mow the grandparents yard.  She and my son may spend the night with them.  We will see. 

We will probably grill some hamburgers for dinner tonight.  It looks like it's going to be a great day.

I agree blogging is addictive and decorating you space! I try to control myself when it comes to decorating. I am finding all sorts of things I would like to do. I do hope you all have a wonderful day. It is a very terrific day here!!

Hey Trixi:
Thanks for reading about my market day. We planted 300 bushes three years ago, and about 20-25 have died along the way. We started with bare root stock b/c we couldn't afford bigger plants. Not sure what the square footage/acreage is but it's not huge. A mature plant will yield 8 gallons of fruit (blueberries). Our plants are nowhere near that big yet.

In the regular garden, we have about an acre under cultivation, including the corn/okra area (not irrigated). We can get water to everything else easily except corn and okra. Let's hope we get some rain soon so they'll keep growing.

Have fun with those burgers tonight. That would hit the spot with me!
