Our garden has taken over.....

This is the day that the Lord has made.
We have been so blessed by this garden. I fully think at this time it would be cheaper to just go by our produce at the farmer's market but we would miss such a great learning time in the Lord. He has been so awesome in this garden. We literally new nothing when we put it in and somehow have managed to do some things right. Our squash and zuchinni's have been coming in about every day. I have put up one bag of squash. The tomatoe plants are loaded. They haven't turned red yet. I sure would love to fry up some green tomatoes. The rule here is you have to get a red one before you can fry some green ones. Anyway, I have been getting an okra here and there. The pole beans and bush beans are loaded. So we will be shelling peas before too long. Last but not least, my corn has little silky tops. This one was the one we have been most concerned about. We have been watering like crazy as it hasn't rained here in a month. My water bill I can't even begin to imagine at this point. All in all though, just watching how God can take a tiny seed and form something so perfect has been worth it all.
Going to play in the dirt.....

Sounds like your garden is doing better than ours!! LOL! Ours is growing - but so are the weeds - ahh - why is it that the greenest grass is in the garden?
I'm being silly - our garden is doing pretty good - now that we've had some recent rain - but we definately need to hurry up and finish fencing in our chickens! Peter Rabbit and our Chickens are having daily feasts!
thank you so much for stopping by SGL the other day and leaving such a sweet comment. What an encouragement! I love to write - it is just another form of "gabbing" for me!
Have a great day and happy gardening!
Blessings,
Harriette Jacobs

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
