We got a Goat!!!

We went last night to pick up our first Pygmy Billy goat.  He is about 3 months old.  His name is Rex.  It was very eventful.  We have him in a stall in the barn and he is so small he could go right under the door.  He then proceeded to run through the pasture and almost be trampled to death by horses.  I fully expected to go out this morning and him be dead from internal bleeding but he was just fine.  Evidently they didnt get him.  We immediately remedied that by nailing a board across the bottom of the stall.  We will be working on his permanent pen this weekend.  It won't be anything fancy but something where he can run around and get plenty of fresh grass.  My youngest DD has been out in the barn with him all morning.  Here are a few pics...

He desperately wants to go back home to his momma.  I hope he gets use to us soon.  It is so pitiful and my oldest DD is having a hard time with it.  If he will give us a chance he will be spoiled rotten like everything else around here.

Such a cutie!! Are you going to get any more to keep him company?

I'm sure he'll get used to things soon...have fun!
