Hidden Feminism and a Help Meet.....

I have really been thinking on this topic a lot lately and then Deanna posted this entry on her blog Hidden Feminism in the Home.  I was even more convicted on my thinking.  I have tons of areas that I could improve but the one I have been thinking on most is the schooling of my children.  I have always done a sort of half hearted job.  I do a good bit more than some people and have always used that to justify my lacking.  " Well I do more than so and so, so my children should be fine."  In our home I do all of the schooling.  I choose the curriculum with very little input from DH.  I do show him what I am planning on and get his approval but for the most part he has put me in charge of this area.  This leads me to my thinking.... He trusts that I am educating his children well enough to go out into this world and be productive.  Now, that is a huge responsibility.  Prov. 31:27, says she looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness.  I can not be idle in my schooling.  I have been idle in the past and this is a form of disrespect to the man I am to be submitting to.  My memory verse this week and for next school year.... 1 Timothy 1:5 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.  I need to be of a pure heart and sincere faith when I am thinking on the subject of educating my children.  I could go on and on but these are the things on my heart right now.
