Is there an herbal remedy for Mouth Ulcers?

I have missplaced my How To Herb Book and my daughter has a terrible case of mouth ulcers.  She has them on her tongue as well.  I use to get these quite often as a child too.  I just can't stand them.  Does anyone know an herbal remedy to this?

All that comes to mind is a salt gargle, but it is not fresh in my mind.

I find it takes 3 days of rest to get over ulcers.

I just got over mine, and I rinsed with 1-3 peroxide water and put tea bags in my mouth this helped me, hope maybe it will help your daughter, mine are due to tomatoe allergies, as well as cinnamon allergies so watch those two foods.

Our middle son was plagued with these as a very young one...we were having to coat his mouth with a mixture of Benadryl and Maalox (Maalox was thick enough to hold the Benadryl in there for a bit) so he could even finish a bottle!
To this day, with the slightest inkling of a sniffle, he ends up with a canker sore and a lip of cold sores.
If I ever find anything that works, I'll let you know!
