Planting corn

I am going to get the rest of my seeds and plants this morning, at the local CoOp.  We feel it is important to support them as much as possible.  Anyway, we are thinking of planting 4 rows of sweet corn.  Do any of you have any suggestions on planting corn?  I would love to see a harvest of corn but I have heard it is hard to grow, so I am prepared for that possibility.  Lord willing, we will have a good harvest, because we have so many plans.

Mmm sweet corn!! We hope to plant quite a bit of it ourselves...we do start ours in paper cups or peat pots.....til about 5 inches high--don't remember why--we just always have! :)
