I have been possessed by the blogosphere exactly six months today! And since launching South of the Gnat Line, it has been quite the six months.
Blogging has apparently changed and challenged the writing world not to mention the lives of many with its enormous growth: my poor family.
While initially, I was slightly intimidated by publishing my words out in the middle of the World Wide Web, it quickly served to facilitate my love of writing. Not that itÂ’s feeding my family, mind you.
Speaking of feedingÂ…..or being paid so one can feed their familiesÂ…Â…perhaps we should start a new trend in the blogosphere, you know, cyber-tipping for a good readÂ…
I can read my standard closing paragraph now:
“Enjoyed what you just read? Be sure and leave a tip in the ol’ tipping jar below by clicking on the ‘Pay Pal’ button just below it…feel free to leave any amount as you feel so generously inspired……….my husband thanks you, my children thank you and I will kindly send you a ‘Bless your heart’….. Be sure and visit SGL again soon! Cya ~Bye Now, Shugah!”
WouldnÂ’t that be great?
HmmmÂ…
Then my husband would never let me quit blogging and IÂ’d have a house full of editors and critics surrounding me while I type!
WhyÂ…I would lose my spontaneity ~ or more like spontaneous combustion that generates the little thoughts I blog out of my brain.
Heavens to Mergatroid, what was I thinking? Why on earth would I want to be tipped or compensated for all my words of wisdom and comedic moments I feel compelled to share with the world?
Then again, I wonder just how hard it could be to configure “Pay Pal” in the form of a tip jar.
