Saturday, we were invited to a farm neighbor's cookout (one of a couple, it seems, this week); the grand finale to the event was everyone going fishing together over at the "big pond".  Needless to say, my youngest was quite the happy fisherman yesterday afternoon.  I think he feels vilified from all the others - on fishing days past - that got away..........can ya tell?  This is one fish tale documented:  Large Mouth Bass, 3lbs, 19 1/2 inches long!  (Would you believe - both our boys were only 20 inches long when they were born? ah!)  I'm sure he'll be posting his own version this afternoon.

Meanwhile, I would like to say thank you to dear Mrs. Burns - she has been so good to check in on me - I realize that I have been MIA in recent days - but in all honesty - I think we've become Jacobs Farm Bed and Breakfast over the last 4 weeks........(this is a Good problem to have.....).  I think we only have one more week of a hectic schedule including my oldest son turning 14 this Tuesday (sniff, sniff...) and yet another family wedding.  I need to well oil my hamster wheel for the week ahead and look forward to getting back to normal after next weekend!
