Ode to the Tarp

Thank you, Mrs. French (solodeogloria), for inspiring me with your "Ode to the Air Conditioner."  ;) I decided to compose my own ... "Ode to the Tarp":

Above all other textiles,

The tarp stands aloof.

Its hundreds of uses verify this

As virtually convincing proof.

Use it for covering hay bales,

Use it for hauling leaves.

When an unexpected disaster strikes,

It’s comforting having one of these up your sleeves.

So durable and sturdy,

The tarp’s a top-notch sheet,

Always ready to facilitate

Any project you might meet.

It’s even useful for summer –

Use it for a water slide.

This multi-purpose tool.

Is the inventor’s pride.

Of the tarp’s excessive virtues,

I could go on and on.

But just a word of warning –

It kills the grass if left on your lawn!

Ode to the Tarp is inspiring, amazing and ....hilarious! I love it! And you know...it's so true too. Guess what the waterslide at VBS was made of last week?? :-)

I'm enjoying your blog!
Love and Blessings,
Mrs. F

For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. – 2 Cor. 4:6
