In history we were reading about Aesop (he was a real guy! I didn't know that) and we were given the assignment to write a fable involving animals to illustrate a point, like Aesop did. I asked my teacher (my mom) ;) if I could write my fable in Spanish. I am not very proficient in abstracts yet, but I did my best: The fable sounds so much more profound in Spanish - oh well. Ready for the translation? There are two dogs. One dog has a new and pretty house. The other dog has an old house. The dog with the new house is not happy. He is saying, “I want a much bigger house. This house is not big.” The other dog with the old house is happy, because his house is of God. He is saying, “I like my house because God is good.” The two dogs are teaching us. Houses, food, cars, new or old, are of God. To speak “Thank you, Lord,” is to be happy. Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 51 of 55 } { Next Page } |
