Rain, Rain, and More Rain

It rained yet again today! We have had such strange weather in our part of Texas. Dh said that usually by the 4th of July it is so dry the ground is cracked and it's too dangerous for fireworks. This year it's so wet! After living the past year in a drought it is so strange to see this much rain. Lukey still hasn't had a b-day party - and his birthday was in May. He wanted it out at my brother's so he could have a hayride, but it has rained so much that it never happened. So we've been planning to have a water party with squirt guns and a slip and slide, but it hasn't happened yet, either. If it was just rain, it wouldn't be so bad, but we've had thunderstorms along with it. Poor little guy! We may just have to skip all the plans and just have it indoors. I'm sure pretty soon it'll be so dry we'll be praying for rain again!

I pray you are not in the area that is flooding !!I guess not since you did not mention it...We had been having lots of stormy weather also, but it has calmed down now..Yea I feel for the little one with his birthday mishaps. I hope he can get the party soon...Debbie

Thanks, Debbie - no we are not flooding, although there is a lot of standing water in lots of places. Ooh, mosquitoes!! : P
