Lol! It has been kind of crazy around here lately, but I can't believe it's been so long since I last blogged. Last week the girls were away at church youth camp, the week before was spent shopping and getting ready for it, and my mom had surgery that week as well. Nothing major, but she couldn't lift for a couple of weeks so I have been at her house helping her with my niece's baby. This week was VBS. I didn't work this year but both the girls did as did my mom. Luke has really loved it this year and has had such a fantastic time. We still have the Toto the puppy, although I think we'll be looking for a new home for her pretty soon. She's very hyper, and Luke can't go outside without being scratched up or nipped on, so he doesn't go out very often. Dh doesn't like her at all - she's very tenacious and stubborn and just won't listen. I know a lot of this is just her breed and that with some strong training she would be a great dog, but we've been so busy that training has been hit or miss. My oldest, Shera, is the one who wants to keep her so badly and we've kept her this long for that reason. But she (the dog, I mean!) really needs to be somewhere in a rural setting where she can do some herding - instead of trying to herd Luke, lol. We have a friend who goes to a Cowboy Church who said she would put up a poster at the church. I'm hoping someone she knows would want her so the kids could go and visit Toto occasionally - if they could do that, the kids wouldn't mind so much. Well, that about sums up what's been going on around here lately. I have been coming in occasionally to read a few blogs when I can but just never found the time to post myself. I am saddened because it looks like Maa has left us. I really enjoyed reading their posts and will miss them. I hope they'll ocasionally post to let us know how Maa is doing.
