I just want to praise God from whom all blessings flow. He has been especially close to me this week. As with everyone these days, funds are stretched to the LIMITS. Saturday my dh had a company picnic and our daughter and her roommate were w/us from college. We weren't sure how we were going to stretch things far enough. After the picnic was over, someone gave us LOTS of hot dogs and bbq pork we purchased for a small amount. Sure enough God had provided. Now i must confess i don't particulary care for hot dogs and i know the nutritional level is not great but this is what God gave me and believe me , we used it. We even had enough to freeze for later. I had always been so proud of how well i could find a bargain and felt so good about myself for it. Pride comes before a fall. So needless to say ....... God reminded me that HE was the one who provided for us. Before grocery shopping i asked God to guide my steps and help me find the bargains i needed to stretch for our family. The bible says to be in constant prayer and i was, all day i prayed for guidance and God showed me what i believe HE wanted for me. I found great bargains and thanked God all day! So now i share w/ anyone who wants to hear. Thank you, Lord. Now my daughter from college called and said that she got a statement from her college saying that all her loans went thru and she has 100$+ left over from the loans. I don't write these things to be boastful, i am always waiting for the next shoe to drop so to speak. But i am trying to trust God for all things. It is hard because i wasn't raised in a christian home and life is soooo full of craziness at times. Most of the time i keep questioning what to do. Life is hard for everyone but living w/ 1adhd, brain trauma child and a child w/adhd,bipolar, possible Asperger syndrome , makes me wonder if i can handle it. My dd#3 has so much trouble w/ people picking on her and saying hurtful things, i just want to shelter her from all this pain. She went to scouts and the girls said the wished she moved away so she didn't have to be there. Mind you, She is not always the kindest person- she reacts back and gets herself in hot water. At home on occasion she can go from one extreme emotion to the next. I love her with all my heart. But sometimes she is hard to like. My heart breaks for her, she sees a specialist in Jan (hope we can survive til then). Please keep us in your prayers. I pray for just one good friend for her and a mentor. Have a Great week !

Thanks to my friend /boss and her husband for letting us use their gps system. THANKS KAREN AND JOHN!!!! I think that relieves my mind also. We had planned on purchasing one but just never got around to doing so. We've got my daughter Lindsay's boyfriend to watch over our "critters". THANKS DAVID. Up until this point everything we have said began with the phrase, "Before we go to Texas". Now I begin everything with "after we get back". Always planning on the next thing. We had our first strawberry from our strawberry plant , Kevin and the boys split it (imagine what a small bite that was)haha. They said it was berry juicy. Getting ready to spray the fruit trees before we go. I would love to see some fruit from them this year! I had better close , I' m getting ready to pack for Texas, now where did i last see my cowboy boots and hat, hmmmmmmm Until I get back ......Have a Great Week and Father's Day.....HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, LINDA |

Ever feel like you are running around like a hamster on his exercise wheel? It seems that i can't get everything done that i want to get done. Kids are all home and today have been fussy with each other. Hope that doesn't continue. Garden is starting to look good. Hope and pray it does well. Linds has had no luck on finding a job this summer, so i told her if she helped at home that i would save money from my little check to help her. Hope i can stretch things better. We are trying to live more frugally but sometimes it gets so hard to do so. I WANT TO BE MORE ORGANIZED and it seems like i am running in circles. God has been talking to me about things and i am waiting for His answer. I know He has the RIGHT answer in all we do. Have a Great Week! |

Just got our niece's wedding announcement today. Looking forward to traveling to texas to see her on her special day. My sil is expecting her baby around the same time. We are so happy for her and her husband. They will make great parents. So i am busy getting things to get ready for the trip and trying to find 2 special presents. Now i try really hard to find thoughtful presents but sometimes i think to much about it. Hoping that oldest dd Linds will help me with that. It seems like there is so much to get done and so little time to do it. Today i am thanking God for all of HIS blessings. I am so happy to be working at my current job and with such great people. I look forward to talking with them daily even if i sometimes get tongue tied and babble alot. For so many years i felt like i had no one adult wise to really talk to besides husband and my late aunt. Now i have great coworkers and an older daughter who is also my friend. Sometimes its hard to look up but i am so glad that i do.

Three things in life that, once gone, never come back.
I ask the Lord to bless you, as I pray for you today, to guide you and protect you, as you go along your way.

I just marvel at how beautiful God's artwork is. Today has been so lovely. I washed and hung out 2 loads of laundry and walked around the 3 acres looking at all the liveliness of the new grass , budding trees and flowers. We planted 2 new peach trees this year. We hope to plant some pine trees and other fruit trees. I would love to have a lilac tree or bush. Lilacs smell so sweet!!!! Getting ready to plant a garden, we hope to can too!! I can almost taste the garden tomatoes now... yum. Looking forward to some fried squash and pickled beets. I better watch, i am almost drooling (lol). Not many days of school left for my children. College classes end May 16 and all the others end May 20. I look forward to having everyone home no matter how crazy it can get. Well, enough for today. I'm cking into how to make your own greenhouse, compost and outhouse. I like to try different things. Sometimes my dh and kids think i've lost it. Oh well, you live and learn. Have a Great Week and may God give us all just enough of all we need. He is so faithful.!!! I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.

Just looking outside today is marvelous. God sure does paint wonderfully. Tommorrow is my daughters 19th birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDSAY!! We look forward to visiting her at Taylor UniversityFW. We are all going to celebrate God's blessings. Its funny to think back that 19 years ago , that i was expecting our 1st child and God blessed me w/her. She essentially made me a mom! Time goes by sometimes so fast. I can't believe that a year ago, I was sitting in the hospital running between my aunts deathbed and my mom in the emerg rm. The next day my husbands gma went to be w/the Lord and 2 days after that my aunt did. So glad that this year we celebrate Linds bday and the fact that tho we do miss them ,that they are in a better place.Enough of this! DH and I are planning a big garden this year. I am going to try to can. Never did it before. Hope I don't do blow up anything. Also want to get a chicken coop w/ chickens and a rooster. I would love to have the money go totally go green. Solar and wind power. The whole bit. Well, i had better go for now. Have a Great Week! I wish you enough. |

I just wanted to say that i am a mom of 5 and look forward to blogging and getting to know others. Linda |

Well, just a few more days and then we are off to Texas. I am praying for good weather and God's traveling mercies. Planning for our family of 6 has kept us busy and sometimes alittle grouchy with each other. I think tensions are mellowing out and we are just anxious to get there and have a good time.
