• Sunday, January 11, 2009 - Inner Peace
There are times I simply MUST send something that has utterly NOTHING to do with ANYTHING! This is one of those times! My cousin sent me this on inner peace. Couldn't resist! If you can start the day without caffeine, If you can get going without pep pills, If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains, If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles, If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it, If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time, If you can take criticism and blame without resentment, If you can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend, If you can conquer tension without medical help, If you can relax without liquor, If you can sleep without the aid of drugs, ...Then You Are Probably The Family Dog! And believe it or not, I received an e-mail from another friend with the same title, but a different take on the subject: I’m passing this on to you because it definitely works and we all could use a little more calmness in our lives. By following this advise, you too, can find inner peace. Dr. Phil proclaimed, “The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished.” So I looked around the house to see all the things that I have started and hadn’t finished. Before the morning was over I finished off a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey’s Irish Cream, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of chocolates. You have no idea how good I feel right now.

With inner peace covered, wouldn't it be nice if we could have world peace? The above program covers not only that topic, but friendship as well....too bad I didn't get it in time to add to my friends blog.... |
