Today when I had school (I am homeschooled) with my brother, my mom asked the question, “Why do we take care of earth?” Well we take care of the earth because it's God's creation. There are many people out there who don’t take care of our earth like they are supposed to. One of my family's New Year's resolutions is to recycle.

We are recycling plastic, glass, paper, and metal. We are recycling for a reason, because the earth is God's creation. Because we are a family of five and we create a lot of trash, we can't even fit a week’s worth of trash in our trash can. When we take out trash we have to put it by the trash can. That is bad because when we have a bad wind stuff gets blown away into another  family's property.

God gave us this earth to live on and to take care of. If we don't take care of this earth then all His wild animals may die. When the garbage man comes by and picks up our garbage they take it to a landfill. They bury the garbage underground. In most garbage are things that won’t degrade into the earth, like plastic.

So I'm encouraging you to recycle. Think about what people are doing to the earth and most importantly, to God's creation.
