Happy Memorial Day!!

Posted in Daily Life
I hope all of you are having a great Memorial Day. The kids and I are having a "regular" type of day. Mark's at work so the kids and I are doing our normal Monday stuff.
Right now we're enjoying a bowl of soup  for lunch. So far today, I've gotten 3 loads of laundry out on the line and the fourth is in the washer as we speak. It's humid enough that we've got the ac running but not so humid that the clothes won't dry.
The girls have started their new "Memorial Day" unit study I found this morning. It was written by Amanda Bennett. I love her unit studies. There's always so much to learn and do in them.
This afternoon we need to get some bread started and we also need to make tortillas for dinner to go with pintos and cheese.
I also would like to get some sewing done on a dress I cut out for myself the other night.
I wish a blessed holiday for you all.
Blessings,
Leigh-Ann

About Me

I'm a Christian woman who has had the blessing of being married to my best friend for a little more than 19 years. I'm also a homeschooling mom to our 3 great kids. We're trying to figure out how to stay country when country is disappearing at an alarming rate here in our little corner of the world.

Pray with St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is discord, vision. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved, as to love; for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
