Here are the girls' quilt blocks...

Posted in The Sewing Room
First, we have Melanie's block. She is having so much fun learning to sew on the treadle!! This is a wonderful project to start with. With just one block a month there's no building frustration with a big project!!

Amanda's block looks great! She's still sewing all by hand. I love the way she's using colors in her blocks. This has been a great art project and handwork learning time for her!! Miss A has always been really crafty. She sews, crochets and she makes amazing jewelry too.

I bet you can't tell that I'm a proud Mama, huh?!
Blessings,
Leigh-Ann

You have every right to be a proud mama, their blocks look wonderful! They are doing such a great job. My girls haven't started on their Feb. block yet, probably because "mama" is still behind on hers, ha!

Those squares are absolutely awesome!!! I'm getting closer to getting mine finished. I got the directions printed off. Now I have to go hunt up some material. So glad you shared! You go Girl!! and your daughters too. My daughters are going to try doing squares too. I'll post as soon as we get them completed.

Your quilt blocks are so beautiful Leigh Ann. I have several blocks cut, but haven't started yet. I haven't had time to read up on how to go about getting started. I'm using BFIAR with my preschooler and I joined the quilter group for that and swapped quilt blocks. I have no idea how to get it going! :) I also have a quilt that my Granny made that needs some repairs.

About Me

I'm a Christian woman who has had the blessing of being married to my best friend for a little more than 19 years. I'm also a homeschooling mom to our 3 great kids. We're trying to figure out how to stay country when country is disappearing at an alarming rate here in our little corner of the world.

Pray with St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is discord, vision. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved, as to love; for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
