At the mall...

Posted in Daily Life
We ended up heading up to the city to meet up with Trixi and her girls at the mall this afternoon. The guys went and hit all the "guy stores". It was great to meet Trixi. The girls and I had a really good time. I treated them to lotions and body washes at Bath and Body Works. Then they each found 4 shirts between Sears and JC Penney. The best thing about all was that everything was on sale!! Score. We also managed to hit Claire's so Mellie could pick out a few items.
It was fun but I'm really glad that we don't do the mall scene hardly ever any more. The biggest impression the mall made was how loud it was. Now, we're just hanging out together.
The kids are playing with the toys they picked out with some of their Christmas money. We ran by Toys R Us after leaving the mall. We haven't been there in so long that 2 of the kids don't remember ever being in one.
We also stopped at Sonic for a snack on the way home. All in all, we had a fun afternoon. Thanks Trixi, for letting us join in on your trip to the mall. It was great meeting you!!
Blessings all,
Leigh-Ann

We really enjoyed meeting you as well. I'm with you, way too loud. I have to say it has been years since I have been in a real "Mall" and I was really shocked at the surroundings and noise and all. I am glad you all had fun. I was hoping we didn't just drag you around. I know my girls knew they had this amount of time and wanted to see it all. I'm glad you made it home safe.
Blessings,
Trixi
P.S. Oh, and now I am back in my comfy clothes.

About Me

I'm a Christian woman who has had the blessing of being married to my best friend for a little more than 19 years. I'm also a homeschooling mom to our 3 great kids. We're trying to figure out how to stay country when country is disappearing at an alarming rate here in our little corner of the world.

Pray with St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is discord, vision. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved, as to love; for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
