Pumpkin donuts

Monday the girls and I tried out the recipe for pumpkin donuts I found at recipezaar.com. They were so popular that we had to make a second dozen for the guys before they got home. The girls and I snacked on them all day! So, since they were so popular here I thought I'd share...
Pumpkin Donuts
2 c. flour
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. pumpkin
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. softened butter
---I mixed all the dry ingredients together and then dumped in the wet ingredients. Mixed them all together and since I didn't have a pastry bag I put everything in a gallon zip bag and cut off one of the bottom corners at about 1/2 to 1". Pipe them into 12  (or so) circles on a greased cookie sheet.  The oven heats at 375 for 10 to 12 min. I cooked ours for 14 min. so the outsides seemed right. The original recipe called for a light glaze over top but I like them just the way they come out of the oven. They are definitely sweet enough plain. Enjoy...I know we did.
Peace, Leigh-Ann

yes those pumpkin donuts were a real hit. I had to make two batches already. Thanks so much for your lovely comments. Making eggrolls are not hard at all. If you can get the skins at the store, they are sold frozen and take a good day to be right. I use a very basic filling grated caggage, grated onions, fried and drained ground beef, and salt and pepper. mix it all well, and place a Tablespoon into the middle of the square that has the sides wetted with egg. (that is what makes it stick together) the secert is not to make to many ahead and it is so much better when there is more then one person helping make them.Deep fry until golden brown. and drain on cookie sheets with papertowels under. good luck.also i was wondering if you would mind sharing your recipe for laundry soap.thanks Jess

Pray with St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is discord, vision. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved, as to love; for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
