Walking in contentment....what does that mean to you? I know that in my life, at least one facet of it is walking simply in this life, not taking others for granted and becoming keenly aware of the presence of the Almighty in my everyday affairs. For me contentment means that I have the freedom to be simple and to have a lifestyle that is simple frre from a more complex society that appears to thrive on chaos rather than order. For me I can be extremely content within with little in this life.....the true needs of food, shelter and clothing being met in a manner that is God given to me. I can enjoy the freedoms of my days and nights because I know they are God given....all of them. For me the greatest contentment comes from knowing that I will not be forsaken, nor will God allow me to suffer above what I am able to endure.....He makes the paths before me including the pathway that escapes impending sin or acts of selfish pride....yes there is so much to be thankful for when one is given the blessing of godly contentment in this life.

Tressa, the Lord has convicted me of spending too much time on the computer, but when I do have a little time to read blogs, I make sure to go to yours. I appreciate your godly encouragement. I was drawn toward the simple life 5 years ago when my son was born prematurely. I knew he would need all my time and I had to figure out ways of simplifying our household to make it possible. What joy I have found in the journey and in growing in simplicity. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I look forward to reading more. Bless you..............Denise (prairiemom)
