A Simple Saturday
Posted in Farm Happenings

Well, the change in the weather that I ordered came in! After a couple of rainy days, we went from muggy summer weather to cool crisp air. Even though it's chilly, there's plenty of sunshine. It's a perfect day! The leaves are really starting to change now. They sure are beautiful! Living in a woods is brilliant this time of year. We're surrounded by crimson and gold. The picture above was taken last year, but I'll be able to share this year's beauty soon.
We don't have any special plans today. I began baking this morning to warm up the house. I have apples cooking in the crock pot (making more sauce) and plan to bake a few pies today if my hands can hold up long enough for it. (I really need to invest in a peeler!) The boys are out raking leaves and harvesting more nuts.
I haven't been well lately. My joint pain and weakness have gotten worse, and I've had a few additional symptoms, so I visited a new Rheumatologist yesterday for another round of testing. It'll be a few weeks before I get the results, but my husband's vacation is during that time and I'll have a lot to keep my mind from wandering and worrying. (I'm afraid I'm not a very patient person when it comes to things like this.) He's taking us on a little trip south to see the leaves, so it'll be wonderful to get away. We'll also be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary in a few days. Wow~ the time sure flies!

That is such a beautiful picture! Most of the trees here are still quite green. Love the smell of apples cooking!
I'm so sorry you've been feeling worse these days. Hopefully you will get some answers from these tests. Let me know how you come out.
Hugs,
Leah

Don't ya just love those perfect fall days! Your photography is always soooo beautiful! We will be celebrating our 15th anniv. next May 1. Happy Anniversary to you too - in advance!
Hopefully you will be feeling better soon and that it is a "quick fix". Have you tried cutting out sugar or salt, or tried homeapathy? How about rubbing garlic on your chest - JUST KIDDING.
Have a beautiful night.
Blessings & (((HUGS)))

Amy,
I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well..... is there any chance you have lymes? Have you been tested for lymes disease? I ask because joint pain is one of the symptoms for this disease........
You may wish to look into the local lymes chapter for the tests they use to detect for this .......
I am thinking of you and do so hope you feel better soon!
Hugs,
