A Simple Farm Wife!!
I just love living out in the country! I haven't always lived out here though, but have always lived in a smaller town. I went through a not so nice divorce when my ex husband decided he didn't want a wife anymore, so I was living in a small town near my mother when I met my "farmer" and we were married a year later! Farm life took alot of adjusting and especially since he had 3 children, you can only imagine merging 6 children under one roof....but we did! The rewards of my life as a farm wife have been more than I can count....money may be shorter than most other professions, but we are happy! I do alot of gardening in the summer and freeze and can almost everything, we raise our own beef and raise pigs during the summer months. What I don't grow on the farm I get at the local farmers market and store in the basement during the winter months. I bake almost everything from scratch. Living off the land is something I wouldn't trade for anything. The hard work and simplicity of it all, makes my life so complete. Who would have imagined 15 years ago if someone had told me that this was they way I would prefer my life to be!!

I can so relate, we blended four city children to a rural Arkansas town in a new marriage....it was five years of adventure. Dh's job has just in December moved us back to a city and I already miss my 100 year old farmhouse very much!
I can't wait to know more of you!
hugs

Well God is good. I too divorced and married my cowboy wanna be. We would love to more property but I figure we better learn right now with the 3 acres God has given us. Look forward to hearing more of your adventures.

Welcome to HSB! This is a wonderful community of ladies...... I know you will love it here! I really enjoyed reading your entry post.. how amazing God works out His plans for us! I know your knowledge and info about farming will be a great blessing to us here! I am new to farming -- we followed our dream and moved to rural midwest Missouri last year...... 66 acres later.... we are learning.... step by step.... but I can't even imagine going back to life in the city! I love the simpliness of my life.... so uncomplicated!
Blessings~~

I can relate to adjusting to change. Although I didn't go through a divorce (sometimes that sounds like the easier way) but we did move to rural Texas from Las Vegas Nevada. I was raised city to the bone and now am trying to figure country out. I love the pioneer lifestyle and am so loving the change. I hope to get to know you better. Brenda
