I know I don't write very often but....
with everything that has been going on I don't get on like I would like to. Time also hasn't been a friend of mine. Taking care of my family including my mom and (in-laws when needed). My husband is back to work but it tires him some. He is doing good for the most part. He has some sores in his mouth and everything taste like salt. This is common with radiation they tell me.
We have some of our garden started indoors. Plants are already coming up and it is so exciting to see. My husband already tilled up our small garden. The fresh tilled up dirt looked so nice. It is so refreshing to see the earths beauty. I have some herbs planted in pots for the inside of our home. It makes it so easy to grab when you need it. It hasn't come up yet but when it does it will be so cool.
Our diet hasn't changed much since he can have some of the old things. We do like some of our improved life style. It is like God reminding us to follow his ways. So when we get our new and improved body. We are now a caterpillar then we go into our cocoon and then we emerge into this beautiful butterfly. Well, right now I am working on improving to become a beautiful butterfly. Ok this is my own analogy.

Sherry
We survivied our....
We survived our seven days of separtion from my husbands radiation. He was released to go back to work yesterday. We know that he will have to have another treatment in six months. It is so nice to have the girls back home and to be a family agin. I got to see the girls everyday but it was strange and very hard not to have them at home. I lived and slept in the living room and mostly my husband was confind to the bedroom. We had to be cautious and to keep our safe distance. I so much wanted to hug him and help him but couldn't this was hard. We were able to set together in the living room 8 feet apart or better. We have a large living room, so this at least made it so we could socialize some. We had to be cautious with living arangements also, not an easy task. I had to shower ato my moms, this is also where my girls lived for a week. We survived but I praise God for phones and patients of our family and thankful for my mom and family members help during these trying times and trials we must face in our lives.
Blessings,
Sherry
Praying for....
Please keep my husband Ed and my family in prayer as my husband goes through his radiation treatment tomorrow for his thyroid cancer. Also, as we (my girls and I) will have to be separted from him for a week. Also keep my mom in your prayers for her health problems and having to take us in for a week.
Blessings from us all!

I have been away for awhile....
I don't know what had been going on with my blog family but I have been tied down to taking care of family. As many of you know that my husband has cancer (thyroid cancer), my mom has had major back surgery, but what you don't know is that she was back in the hospital last week. We thought that she was having a heart attack. We don't know what was wrong with her. Her blood pressure spiked up very high, it was like 180 or 110 to 130. They gave her several doses of nitro, along with nitro patches. They also did a heart cath. We are still unsure what was going on. We will be taking her back to the doctors in a month. She started therapy but then this happened. She will hopefully start therapy again in about two weeks. This week my husband has to have two very expensive shots again. He had one today and will have another one tomorrow and then Wednesday he will have his high dose of radiation. He will be off from work for at least seven days and then he will have another C-T Scan. From their I don't know what. I hope then he can start his thyroid therapy.
My husbands’ work has been down to four days. I am so thankful that he has a job. God has blessed us a lot here lately. I don't remember if I told you but a member from our church gave us an older car. We were needing a car it got us around for awhile but now needs some repair. Nothing major that my husband can't fix. Praise God! We had a major storm that went through a few weeks ago and ended up with a hole in our roof and leaks all over. A friend of our was given metal and had all the items to fix our roof. He and his son came over last Sunday and fixed our roof while we were at church. Again Praise God. We just don't have the money to fix anything right now. Today my daughter went and checked our mailbox and someone put $5.00 in our mailbox. Praise God! God is so awesome. I hope you don't find this to be bragging because I am not I just want to praise God for all of his many blessings. I want to share our story of many blessings. It is so awesome how God gives us what we need; it may not be what we want but what we need.
Blessings,
Sherry
