I have been so busy, 2 weeks ago my mom had foot surgery. She had to have two toes reconstructed from arthritis and a bunion removed. A lot of us think this is from calcium or callus, not so it is from bone movement. Go figure, I didn't know that. This was all done out patient. The fist 24 hours she can't bear weight due to she could break her ankle. What! Now what, so we had an extremely rough time trying to get her into her house. This was not an easy task, her first couple of steps she fell backwards into the car just missing hitting her head. Praise God she didn't hurt herself. I didn't tell my girls cause they would have worried and freaked out. I needed it to be calm. I was worried sick. I had no help and all alone. We had a long ways to go to get my mom into her home. Praise God my in-laws had a wheel chair. This again was no easy task but we managed. I am taking care of her everyday along with schooling my girls and working part-time. Jokingly I told my mom that she is grounded from surgeries. This one has been harder then her double knee replacement. Arthur has not been nice to her at all. She still will need another surgery on her back. Please keep her in your prayers for healing.
My husband is still having the worry about his job from the strike American Axle. As you all know it is a domino effect and it has dominoed to his place of employment almost immediately. His company builds windshields.
We also have lost one close friend from breast cancer. Leaving behind a husband and four children. Please keep them in prayer. We also lost an acquaintance from another form of cancer. My husband knew him better then I did. But his grandchildren are my girls grandpa. Please lift these families up in prayers.
It has warmed up here and it has been so nice to be able to be outside and grill again. We do grill year round but we grille steak for lunch and chicken for supper. We used the chicken and cut it up and put on top of our salads. YUM!
