This past week I was planning out a menu for our family for a week rather then the normal a day at a time. This is so much nicer and saved on our grocery bill. I started mine on Saturday. This helps me to see what I have in my pantry and freezer, also to see what kind of spices I may need if I am out. If I try to stick to it makes our lives so much less stressful.
Saturday: I had to work 12-4 and my husband had a basketball game so something easy and fast was on our agenda.
I made sandwiches for lunch, with chips and apple
Dinner I had leftover chicken and made chicken enchiladas
Sunday:
We were sick and my mom took my youngest daughter and my husband. My oldest has a bad cold or flu and I have sinus and sore throat.
So supper stayed as followed: we were going to do meat loaf , mashed potatoes and corn but I slept to long and this is what I did.
I made meat loaf individuals in a skillet, french fries and corn. Just a little different but my menu pretty much stayed the same. I almost always bake my fries very seldom do I ever fry them.
Monday:
Today I have a pot roast in the crock pot and will make it into two different meals, vegetable beef soup and beef and noodles.
Tuesday:
lunch: soup and sandwich
Supper: chicken in the crock pot with potatoes. This gives me a baked potato with our dinner and cuts down on cooking time.
Tonight I will take out some hamburger for tomorrows dinner, to get it thawing.
Wednesday:
lunch, sandwich, chips and apple
supper: pizza and salad
Thursday:
lunch: leftovers
Supper:pork loins and potato in the crock pot, veggie
Friday:
Supper will be: fish and chips
When I make out my menu
