Tomorrows dinner will be.....
Fried chicken, fried cabbage, summer squash and zucchini ( I will either steam it or fry it) and biscuits. Yes this isn't the most healthiest dinner but I wanted a down home dinner which I haven't made in a long time. We will end it with a peach triffile. sp
Fried chicken recipe:
Some recipes call for self rising flour I don't have any so I will use all purpose
salt and pepper
I may add garlic powder, most likely I will
dip in butter milk or some sort of cream, you can dip in egg wash (if you do a egg wash add some hot pepper sauce).
and fry in hot oil. Remember dark meat takes longer then white meat. I only use white meat so about 10 to 14 minutes each. (white meat).
Fried Cabbage:
Fry up some bacon and onion pieces and add cabbage Shaved.
If I fry the squash I dip in a egg wash and then Italian bread crumbs.

I never had cabbage fried. We like it braised in chicken stock with salt and pepper. Yum!
