My husbands results....
Well, I had hoped that I would have good news to tell but I don't. Sitting there in the room waiting on the doctor, we were anxiously awaiting to hear what they found out. Of course, we knew in the back of our minds that their could be bad news but you never think that you will. While sitting their reading our magazine and our book in comes the doctor. With a shocked look on his face, you know it isn’t good. You still have a ray of hope. Then he gently tells you it is cancer. You could have knocked us over with a feather. He tells you that they have to go back in and remove the other side of his thyroid. How we ask, the blood work was good and he thought everything looked good and then he reminds you "I told you that there was a chance". I sit their holding back tears and watching my husband trying all that he can do to sit there and be brave. I know he was holding back tears too. We both are trying to be strong for each other and for our children. He was released to return to work and he will go back to work tomorrow. He will work till he has surgery. He will have the other side of his thyroid removed and radiation. He will have to have medication for the rest of his life and to be monitored for the rest of his life. I just pray that they get it all. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
Blessings,
Sherry
