She is back from.....
My daughter is back from her missions trip. They got back around 9:30pm. They weren't expected back till 11pm so they made good time on travel. She was excited to be back home and very tired. Although she was tired we all stayed up talking till 2:30am. We had to be up early for church and let me say it was very hard to get up for all. We have had a long day. We have bus duty this month and we also had an ice cream social. So my husband and I made a double batch of strawberry ice cream and one batch of peach. I took the double batch to church and kept the peach for home. Our patriotic ice cream social at church was a huge success. We had more people that showed up then we had planned on. Praise God! We had a wonderful message and worship. My ice cream was one of the first ones to go. I guess I should have made more. I am glad that they all enjoyed it.
During church service this morning they all stood up and told something that they were grateful for. Plus they showed a slide show of pictures of some of the events that they did and some people that they meet. They are all excited and ready to go back and do it again. One thing that my daughter said that she was grateful for was when she thought that she couldn't go on anymore she prayed and God came through with the help that she needed. Praise God. Psalm 91:11 If they needed a drink, drink was provided or if they needed help with lifting something someone showed up to help. One of the girls said after they prayed with someone, that person came to them and asked if they could pray for them. Isn't the so cool. I love it! God works his miracles in so many ways. They did a lot of work and helped to take care of the community and children. They got see and experience so many things, life changing things. How awesome for these kids and leaders that went on this trip. I am so proud of all of them. Please keep them in your prayers that they may continue and that it will continue in the lives that they touched and throughout the community.
Blessings,
Sherry
