I know I don't write very often but....
with everything that has been going on I don't get on like I would like to. Time also hasn't been a friend of mine. Taking care of my family including my mom and (in-laws when needed). My husband is back to work but it tires him some. He is doing good for the most part. He has some sores in his mouth and everything taste like salt. This is common with radiation they tell me.
We have some of our garden started indoors. Plants are already coming up and it is so exciting to see. My husband already tilled up our small garden. The fresh tilled up dirt looked so nice. It is so refreshing to see the earths beauty. I have some herbs planted in pots for the inside of our home. It makes it so easy to grab when you need it. It hasn't come up yet but when it does it will be so cool.
Our diet hasn't changed much since he can have some of the old things. We do like some of our improved life style. It is like God reminding us to follow his ways. So when we get our new and improved body. We are now a caterpillar then we go into our cocoon and then we emerge into this beautiful butterfly. Well, right now I am working on improving to become a beautiful butterfly. Ok this is my own analogy.

Sherry
We survivied our....
We survived our seven days of separtion from my husbands radiation. He was released to go back to work yesterday. We know that he will have to have another treatment in six months. It is so nice to have the girls back home and to be a family agin. I got to see the girls everyday but it was strange and very hard not to have them at home. I lived and slept in the living room and mostly my husband was confind to the bedroom. We had to be cautious and to keep our safe distance. I so much wanted to hug him and help him but couldn't this was hard. We were able to set together in the living room 8 feet apart or better. We have a large living room, so this at least made it so we could socialize some. We had to be cautious with living arangements also, not an easy task. I had to shower ato my moms, this is also where my girls lived for a week. We survived but I praise God for phones and patients of our family and thankful for my mom and family members help during these trying times and trials we must face in our lives.

Last nights dinner...
Spanish Rice
2 pounds ground turkey
3 cups brown rice
1 pint salsa (I used our own canned)
2 cups chicken broth (I used my own that I made)
1 quart of tomatoes and onions (I used my own canned)
1/2 large green pepper
1 small onion
3 T. garlic
basil, Italian seasoning, Ms. Dash table blend, cilantro, black pepper, season to your taste.
Prepare in a large skillet cook and drain ground turkey. Add remaining ingredients and simmer. Enjoy!
I have to watch every thing that goes into our food. My husband is on a no iodine diet (salt). He can have very little if any at all. So I read all label and try to make sure their is hardly any in none at all.
Blessings,
Sherry
Praying for....
Please keep my husband Ed and my family in prayer as my husband goes through his radiation treatment tomorrow for his thyroid cancer. Also, as we (my girls and I) will have to be separted from him for a week. Also keep my mom in your prayers for her health problems and having to take us in for a week.
Blessings from us all!
Sherry
