Name: Page
Location: England, U.K.
A little Info: I live in a small town in the county of Hampshire, England with my husband. I love anything to do with home-making, frugal living and basically I desire to live a better lifestyle that is simple and pleasing to The Lord. I am still in the “learning phrase” at the moment but it is wonderful fun. I also love having this online journal which can be addictive and is certainly a great way of meeting new people, hence I have made quite a few friends over these last few months.
Interests Include: Home-making, card making, dried flower arrangements, writing poetry/articles, baking and anything on the cookery side, cycling, walking, reading, music, gardening and catching up with friends old & new.
Blessings,

Today has been quite a busy one as I spent this morning doing some cleaning and then I made a birthday card for Nellie's daughter (Nellie is my next door neighbour in Somerset).
This afternoon we went over to a garden centre which was massive and busy - the weekends I should think must be absolutely packed and not the best time to go. This is a fabulous garden centre and I couldn't believe how reasonably priced most things were - I was very impressed. There was also a food hall there which was quite impressive but then after wandering through the food hall, I spotted this, which admittedly the photo is not very clear but......................

A whole section of American foods, of which I was in my element. There were so many different foods from Graham Crackers, Orios, Stove Top Stuffing (though there was just the cornbread Stove Top Stuffing only - which was the only item I purchased), Orios, Cherios and so the list goes on. I will definitely be returning to this garden centre again.
We then went to another garden centre on the way back which has its own Pet Centre and oh my - there were the most gorgeous rabbits that I have ever seen and these ranged from short haired to long haired to a huge (what I would call) Floppy Eared Bunny. Threre was also a parrot section and some of these were out of their cages. One of these was the most gorgeous soft pink colour and this one took a shine to my lilac jacket big time. As cute as this parrot was though, it was having one of those "biting everything in site" kind of days - but it was so cute!
This evening I quickly made supper which was chicken and white wine risotto (which I had taken out of the freezer in the morning), falafels and purple sprouted broccoli - the meal was fairly quick, nutritious and very yummy.

All in all, today was really nice and the weather was awesome, not too cold but wonderfully sunny.

The food you cook for yourself looks so good. I just can't seem to get inspired to cook just for me.
My grandmother cooked everyday. She had her little pots and pans that cooked just enough for one or two. She would use fresh stuff like greens, potatoes, beans etc. She even had a tiny little cast iron frying pan that she made a cake of cornbread in on top of the stove.
I just can't get motivated to cook for me. When my grandchildren are visiting I love to cook. They especially love a full course breakfast.
That picture of your meal looks so good!!
Enjoy your blog and hope to visit your country one day.

Blessings Sister Page!
You know, it always amazes me how our "American Food" isn't just everywhere:P I mean, who would think that Oreo's were just American food? I have a friend in Glasgow who has shared with me lots of things that seem to be exclusively American and she gets excited when she finds it from time to time at a market:)
Oh, the meal looks wonderful. I love making and stuffing my face with falafel:P It rarely makes it all the way to the table as our whole family will start grabbing when they come out of the oil:)
Glad to hear you had such a wonderful day:) Always in my purposed prayers dear Page.
God be with thee!
Sister Lori
