About Me
Photobucket

Name: Page

Location: England, U.K.

A little Info: I live in a small town in the county of Hampshire, England with my husband. I love anything to do with home-making, frugal living and basically I desire to live a better lifestyle that is simple and pleasing to The Lord. I am still in the “learning phrase” at the moment but it is wonderful fun. I also love having this online journal which can be addictive and is certainly a great way of meeting new people, hence I have made quite a few friends over these last few months.

Interests Include: Home-making, card making, dried flower arrangements, writing poetry/articles, baking and anything on the cookery side, cycling, walking, reading, music, gardening and catching up with friends old & new.

Blessings,

Page

****My Home Management Binder****

This is my Home Management Binder and I will be updating this shortly as there are a couple more sections that I would like to add plus some more info.

My Binder:

These are photos of the outside and side views of my binder. The following two pics underneath are of the zipper pouch where I keep items such as pens, pencils, erasers, post it notes and other small items that need to be kept in one place. The final pic is of a page which shows the different sections of my binder which I can turn to quite quickly.

Next I have my Schedules:

My Daily Routine:

This list may seem extensive but on the whole should not take too long and I am going to start working on this new list on a gradual basis starting towards the end of this week.

The general idea for my daily routine is from Fly Lady - See here

v    Go to bed at a reasonable time! preferably at the same time daily (unless going out)

v    Quiet time

v    Fall asleep with a smile on my face and in my heart

As I mentioned this may seem quite intense but once you have got used to routine this will seem like a piece of cake before long.  Also this is not set in stone, if I forget to do stuff then it can wait until the next day.....................these are just guidelines in order to help me become a lot more organised and disciplined.

What is set in stone is my time spent with The Lord as this is definitely a must not just for me but for all of us as without spending the time with Him especially first thing in the morning then the whole day can go awry!  spending time with Him throughout the day too (as I have stressed before) is important and this can be done whatever you are doing.  And last thing, don't forget to spend time with Him before going to sleep as this should be the last thing we do at night, spending time with Our Loving Father!

I have totally revamped my routines and daily chore lists that I did last year as I was not happy with these and even though the daily chore lists especially were working, I felt I could add more to my days and plan these better.

Cleaning Routines:

I have printed out sheets for an Emergency Quick Clean which is from Candy's Blog - See here for  Emergency Quick Clean and I also have the Cleaning Grand Plan and I forget where I printed this from.

I also have printed off - Home-made cleaning solutions, again from Candy's Blog - See here

Next, still within the cleaning section - Laundry Tips & Recipies:

I have a recipie included of how to make your own laundry soap which is from Crystals Blog - See here

Menu Plans:

I have a whole month of menus planned - I have started planning one month in advance as I find it more economical to shop this way and I don't have to worry about the majority of meals as these are already planned - I do obviously allow for meals out, guests etc - so there are times that adjustments need to be made:

and then:

Calendar:

Here I have tabs January - December and monthly, weekly & daily calendar sheets which are from Donna Young - see here . This section is really self explanatory and so is the next section in my binder which is:

People Contact Info:

following this is:

I have seperate tabs for Breakfast, Lunches, Dinners and Miscellaneous - again self explanatory.

I have a list of guidelines here for myself and then prayer requests:

Section on Modesty:

This is where I put up articles regarding Modesty and these are mostly from Mom Of 9s Place and articles from Ladies Against Feminism - both of these are excellent sites for information, I would highly recommend paying them a visit!

and then a section on:

This is where I keep all notes etc on the above - a very useful section to have.

Second to last section: Money Saving Tips - again self explanatory really!

and the final section for now is:

I am starting to put a Hope Chest together for my daughter, and there are a couple of excellent sites where you can get information on where to purchase "Hope Chests" and also building one, if you and/or your husband have the wonderful gift of Carpentry. There are also brilliant ideas on making and purchasing beautiful gifts etc whereby you can start to build a beautiful chest of memoirs for your daughter(s).

I will be adding a "Journal" section at some point and changing around and adding to a couple of sections I have already.

At the back of my binder, I have a notepad and a zipper pouch to keep erasers, pens & pencils.

So this is my binder - I would love to see how your Home Management Binder is laid out, so please send me a link and I will add your binder to my "Home Management Binder" Section!

Blessings,

Today's Verse

This Weeks Memory Verse

“"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Saviour" Isaiah 43:1-3
