New Tote for my Projects

I have made a new tote bag for carrying my crafting projects. It is so much better than the paper bag I had been using, and it is big enough to hold my clip board with ease.

This is another "Making Love Out of Nothing at All" project. The fabrics are scraps from other sewing projects. The pattern is based on the rag quilt design. It is lined with homespun fabrics that I had left over from skirts that I made for my girls.

I was surprised at how quickly the whole thing went together, it took only a few days. For me the hardest part of the whole thing was cutting the squares, after that it went together in a flash. I ran it though the wash and gave it a good shake, then hung it to dry.

As you can see, it came out very nicely and will be a lovely addition to my crafting area.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

First of all, this is adorable and you did a great job on it. Second of all, I love the phrase making love out of nothing at all. I can't believe you made this out of things you already had on hand. I love those type of projects!!!!

God's Blessings,

That is so cute - I love the rag look of it. And you know the best part besides making it out of what you had on hand - it will last for a really long time. I have a tote-bag my s-i-l made me like 10 years ago - and I'm telling you it is still holding up really nicely. I use it to carry my books back and forth from Youth Group

So cute! I have been wanting to make a rag quilt, but it hasn't happened yet anyway.

How lovely! I could use one or 2 of those. I had to laugh when you said it replaced the paper bag you were using. That's what I use.
Happy crafting!
