Our kitchen project today
I am so excited that I had to upload and share the pictures with you all of our kitchen remodeling project today.

Here is what the cabinets used to look like white with green ivy at the top.

My wonderful DH is sanding off all of the old yucky paint and the horrid ivy

I thought I would give it a try but I only got one done because it made my hands feel all fuzzy and numb.

Now I have masked the cabinet door and am painting the recessed area the cinnamon toast color. I really like it at this stage even though it isn't completely finished.

While I was masking and painting the upper cabinets my DH was painting the second coat of the door trims.

Several hours later we started puting the drawers and door back on. Here is my DH working on the lower doors under the sink.

And here are the finished upper cabinets. The lower cabinets do not have the recess and are just the lighter color as are all the drawers. I will be adding door pulls and new drawer pulls in another few days.
Thanks for allowing us to share our new kitchen with you all. We had fun taking the pictures and painting all day.

Snowed in (kind of) and home improvement
Well, it snowed again last night and everything is white. We are to expect more snow over the next 5-7 days (not uncommon for this time of year). We are going to see if the sun warms things up enough to paint the kitchen cabinets out doors and if not then we will be putting tiles down in the kitchen. I am so excited. We are trying to get this done before we get our tax return and then go get a new fridge. Last weekend DH painted the ceiling and we put in the backsplash in the kitchen.

Here are the colors I want to paint the cabinets (dark~ Cinnamon Toast & light~ Snowshoe)
We will paint the main part of the cabinets snowshow and the recesses the cinnamon toast.

Livingroom half completed
I finished 1/2 of my livingroom and ready to show it off. Here is our entertainment center.

The interior cabinets are straitghtened.

And I added a little glam to the top of the stereo.

Bearing all shame and showing my mess
Ok, I am bearing all my shame here in what my house looks like again. I have a bad problem with just dumping things on the dining table and not cleaning it up so that we can have a family supper at the table each night. As you can see the coffee table is our meal table. Today my son is sick with the flu so homeschooling is not happening today. It also has snowed here at our house (not uncommon for SE Wyoming) so I am staying home today too. I have lots to do and will share my accomplishments soon.

My homemaking notebook
I have been working on my homemaking notebook and here is what it looks like.

The cover
 A look at the pages
The things I have recorded in here are daily chores, zones (flylady.net), diet info, devotional notes, morning/afternoon/evening routines. I hope this will inspire some of you to get your notebook going or finished whichever the case may be.
