Our time away turned out to be very relaxing.  I think its a very good thing to get away from everyday life every now and then.  We started out Thursday at my Mom's for her birthday.  My sis and her husband and baby were there and had a cookout.  That night we stayed at my sis home.  Its always good to visit with them. 

Friday morning we took our youngest three boys too husbands parents house.  They stayed there  while we were at the all - star tournament.  We stayed at the tournament till Monday.  Seth and his team did so very well.  One game was not so good, but it was at 9 am so I prob. wouldn't have played well either.   They came against 10 teams.  Although they didnt place in the tournament they played very well.  Now baseball is officially over.  Im always glad when its over.  While we were there it was very relaxing.  Between games we went to stores that we dont have here.  The pool at the motel was very nice.  I think we about lived there. lol.  We also found a soda shop nearby that was wonderful.. the food was so good and so were the old fashioned milkshakes.  It was the Jerry Van Dyke soda shop, and we found out that he and Dick van Dyke were originally from Benton, AR.  Nice history lesson huh.  We were staying only a few miles down the road.

Monday we left and returned to James' parents and stayed a few days there.  He and his dad took the boys fishing.  I also visited my grandmother while there.  Ive been trying to visit more lately.  She was diagnosed with vascular dementia a few years back and I can really tell she's getting a bit worse.  It is caused by strokes and works a bit like Alzheimer's.  The strokes cause the brain to actually shrink.  It really makes me said to see because she has always been an active independent person.  Right now it mainly shows up in her decision making and ability to handle her own money affairs.  Thankfully she still live on her own. 

We returned home Wednesday afternoon.  We mostly had lazy days around the house up until today.  Now its back to normal routine.   Today Ive spent the day washing clothes and trying to get the house back in order.  Ugggg .  I think this is what I will be doing the rest of the week. 

Tonight I have womans bible study and cant wait.  I havent been since baseball started so this will be a real treat.
