Friday i went to my sister's house to keep my nephew while her and her husband had an anniversary get away.  This was nice for them because they had not stayed without him since he was born and he is now 1.  I went to their house because he is a baby who has to have his bed.  It really was easier in her house. No one had to carry baby things from house to house.  I had a great time keeping him.  My kids just love playing with him too. 

Saturday after my sister came back we got together with my parents for father's day.  We didnt go to hubby's family because we were there just last week.  With gas the way it is and some other coming expenses we thot best to stay home.  As for hubby i got him a cd he wanted and took him out to eat to a restuarant we usually only go to just the two of us.  This was our first expensive meal out with all seven of us.  We usually only do fast food when we all go out but i really wanted to treat him.  The kids really enjoyed this too.  We are really beginning to be able to do alot more things with our younger three.  I believe with them being so close together it seemed too much to carry three babies and do some of the things we did with our older two.  But this year it seems easier with them being 6, 5 , and almost 4.  so going out to eat at a nice, sit down restuarant was a treat for us all.

I was able after church and our meal out to sneak in a nap.  We then went into town for some things and then came home and played board games with the kiddos.  We've been trying to do this more because its something everyone likes and is one way to spend more family time together.

This is really going to be a busy week.  My son Seth has all stars at the end of the week so lots of practice and scrimage games this week.  Tomorrow I will also need to do yard work.  I believe I have a jungle in the back yard.  I also need to make a menu for the week.  Lots of crock pot meals I predict.  Tomorrow will probably be roast, potatoes, and carrots.

Your post reminded me of times when my own children were all babies at the same time too--at one point being 6, 3,2, and baby. Our youngest three are all smashed together, just like what you described in your own family. I thought I might go insane when they were very little. And then, one day, it all comes together and you CAN go out to eat or take them toa grocery store without people wondering if you've lost your mind. Hee hee. I'm so glad you had a lovely father's day and that they were all cooperating while you were out. That alone is a milestone. How nice everyone could be there celebrating. Take care.

I think it was so unselfish and giving of you to go and babysit at your sisters house. I am sure she felt much better with the baby staying home. She could probably relax much more and enjoy her husband. I am sure the baby was happier! Again that was a nice thing to do!
