Lots of plans whirling around!

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my copy of "The Encyclopedia of Country Living". It should arrive tomorrow. I can't wait to see what all is in it!

Plans are well under way to make a family recipe/history/memories and storytelling book. I've been wanting to do something like this for a long time. I'm hoping to end up with a family treasure everyone will be proud to own and pass down to their children and grandchildren. Family members are already hunting their recipes and items to put in the book. I've got a lot of positive feedback about it.
It's going to take up a lot of my time, but I can't wait to see the end result!

For the past few months, I too have been collecting recipes for family heirloom books. I plan on making both my kids "hope" chests and putting the books into them for when they set up thier first "real" house.( not sharing a college dorm or anything like that.... lol), I am also planning on putting in all the great cleaning recipes' I have and herbal usages( with the herbs when the time comes). It's so nice to hear that someone else thinks the same way I do.

Good luck with your project

Have you seen McCormic's site?
They have free fonts and graphics for scrapbooking recipes. Here's a direct link (ok, you'll have to copy and paste it...I'm not that pc. savvy, lol.)
