Photo Journal of Garden & Flower Progress

1:17 PM, Tuesday, March 21, 2006 .. Posted in Outside Doings .. 5 comments .. Link

Here's a pic of the progress of my peas. They're coming along nicely. They got snowed on yesterday, but as with the weird weather of Spring it's a nice day out today.

This is my climbing roses over my walkway...

My peonies are making an appearance...

My groundcover is coming in again. This is a wild groundcover that first came up in my BIL's yard and I dug some of it and transplanted it. It's very hardy and has pretty yellow flowers in the Spring....

My Knockout rose bush is budding. I planted this three years ago when it was a bare root and it has grown at amazing speed. I have trouble with my roses and Black Spot, but this one has been trouble free, along with the other one I planted two years ago. So if you have problems with Black Spot, plant a Knockout. I ordered mine as a bare root from Heirloom Roses...I think...I can't find my catalog at the moment, and when I do if it's not the right catalog I'll let you know...

One of my Azala's(?..I wish Homestead had a spell checker, I'm a terrible speller!)...

And this is Frank! He's not a plant, but he wanted his picture taken too!

As you can tell, I have a lot of cleaning of trash and derbis to do off my flowers. More later..

Sarah

Beautiful! And I love the stone path. We've lots of work to do yet...but at least I'm feeling up to it :-) Yes, sometime s it takes FOREVER for me to feel better...I can teeter on the edge for weeks (I refer to those times as my "Cybal Moments" fine one moment, screaming like a fish monger the next...ok, being dramatic, but feeling well enough to laugh at it for the moment, lol. I'll talk to my Dr. about that. I'm not big on heavy meds.
I'm a horrible patient, I really am. Don't want surgery, don't want drugs, just want them to make it go away, lol.

The gardens are really looking good! Nothing nearly that far along here, with snow on the ground. Again.

I loved looking at your photos of your garden. That stone path is just beautiful. It is always encouraging to read about others gardens & it gives me great ideas for when i do my own. By the way I like Frank's photo!
