A few days ago we stayed in a doctor's waiting room since our mom had an appointment.  During the appointment, I had to take the baby to my mom.  While I was gone, my bother Joe handed a lady a tract. She read the tract, then handed it back to Joe with her business card.  The business card said something about a tarrot reader.

I did not know what a tarrot reader was.  But I thought it had something to do with asking the devil for information.  So I asked her and she said it was something to do with cards.  I guess what order they fell had something to do with how she told peoples fortunes.  Since she would not take the tract I decided I would try to witness by word of mouth.  She tried to get the conversation off salvation but I persisted.  Then she told me she knew what we were talking about.  She said we were making it too simple.  Then she said that she was an ordained minister and showed me her license as proof (a woman minister? And a card reader? Very odd.)  She was called back and a minute later the lady from behind the counter came out and told us to stop handing out our cards as she called them. We had been very polite and only a few people had refused them.  Why did they make us stop handing them out?  Well better go.  Write more later.

Follow your instinct! You were right to think that a woman minister and above all a tarrot reader is odd. She is not of the Lord! The Bible says to test the spirits and the way to do that is by the Scriptures. What does the Bible say about women in places of spiritual authority? What does the Bible say about telling fortunes? Always check everything according to the Word!

WAY TO GO JOHNNY!!!!
I'm so glad you witnessed to her!! I know she will be thinking about it. And you never know how many people around her heard and will be thinking about what you said too. Sometimes people don't like you to "solicitate" or hand out literture in their buildings. Especially in malls you gotta watch out for cleanup ladies and security guards, they can throw you out. :) Thankfully, that's never happened to us! ;)

Praise God for your boldness! Keep stepping out in faith!

See you soon!

Johnny!
What an amazing opportunity the Lord gave you to witness to the tarrot card reader! I love what Eph. 1:15 says: "In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth..." That lady heard the word of truth through you in the waiting room that day, and God uses His word to save people. We'll be praying for her salvation!

Keep being faithful in your witness!

Rebellion which is a form of witchcraft is a spirit that will not want what believers have I suppose. I make little cards myself and put them in the envelope when I send out my mail, with a tip when I leave one, even at the drive through when I order food. I have many who later told me they still have them. One thing I do not point them to a church or religion I point them to God. When you are smiling they seem to light up also I have noticed. Walls are up usually when they think I am a Christian right off the bat so to speak. Many don't want their space invaded uninvited and take it personally. Thanks for sharing and many blessings your way for God's will to come forth in and through your life but only in His name!! rilda
