Praise and Concern

Let me start out by announcing that Charlie's magazine cover is now out!  I have two copies here that came in this morning!  Praise His holy Name!!  I checked the magazine's website to see if they had it on there yet and as of a few minutes ago, they didn't.  We're just pleased as punch and had to share.

On the concern side - yesterday the kids were outside playing football when, you guessed it, the girls showed up.  They were actually being okay and so the kids went ahead and played with them.  At some point, Dallas punted the ball which then hit a tree and fell down near one of the girls' cat.  She then proceeded to threaten Bethany that she was going to break into our house and kill Holly.  The cat wasn't hit by the ball, mind you, just near it.  It took quite a while to calm the children once they came inside and Charlie made a big show last night of securing up the house for Bethany last night before she'd go to sleep.  Cody ended up having to sleep in her room just so she'd feel safe.

I told the children that this was the absolute last straw and that I don't want them playing with these girls ever again.  I know the other girl (the one I wrote about before) has a history of destroying things and breaking into places but I don't know if the one that threatened does or not.  Please keep this situation in your prayers.  As both the girls go to public school, I don't feel we need to be concerned during the day, but then again, who knows.  I've given this over to Jesus, but can't help thinking about it.  I don't know their parents otherwise I'd consider talking with them - I know that's the advice my Dad would have if he were alive.  I just don't know what I should do.  Do you think I should report this?  I know kids their ages, about 15, do have a tendency to spout off, but in this day and age, do I take it seriously or just as empty words?

I understand how you feel to an extent. We had a neighbor move out on Saturday. While loading their van my sons were playing airsoft. One of them said if they hit him or anything he owns he will take an actual gun and put a bullet through them. I called the police and they said there's nothing that can be done unless something actually takes place. So, there's nothing to report. Be blessed that they are only threatening to kill your pet rather than your child.
