Saturday Happenings

Dallas went to work with Charlie this morning.  Charlie's been off since Tuesday and it sure was hard for him to get out of bed this morning.  He's been working on leather projects: finished another purse, finished saddle bags, and working on a saddle for a saddle-maker.  I sure wish he could make a living at his leather work, he enjoys it so much.  If its God's will it will happen.

Cody and Bethany have spent the majority of the morning in the bathroom.  Holly, the cat, has a mouse in our master bathroom garden tub.  Actually, the mouse was there first as Charlie saw it this morning.  He had me get Holly and put her in there as well.  Now before I get any yucky comments, this mouse has destroyed lots of stuff under the sinks and in the drawers in this bathroom.  We put down glue traps and the mouse put some of his "treasures" on it so he'd have a safe place to walk.  I'm naming the mouse after the mouse in the new Disney movie (Rattatoue or something like that), I hate the previews and it seems like everytime I turn around its playing again!  Larken's spent the morning outside my bedroom door trying to figure out what's going on in there.  We thought she was finally getting cherry eye in her other eye (we're waiting for it to develop in her other eye before we have them removed - the cherries, not the eyes), but the redness and swelling went down and the eye is back to normal.  We've been waiting months for the other one to come in because I don't want her to have more than one surgery but we may just have to have two.

We ate at Charlie's parents' house last night.  It was a nice, light dinner with cheese, crackers, fruit, pickles, bread, deli meat.  She made this fruit dip that was wonderful!  I ended up eating it with everything!  All she did was mix one package (stick) of cream cheese with one jar of marshmallow cream.  And when I say I ate it with everything, I mean it!  The best was with the cheese (cheddar and monterey jack), Charlie teased me saying, "Try it with this grass (the outside kind on the ground, of course), it tastes really good."  He's such a comedian!

The weather is suposed to cool down some, so hopefully I'll be on here more often!

My Mother makes that fruit dip also, except she adds 1 tblsp of orange juice to it for a little more sweetness. Have a great week!
Blessings,
