Saturday's Recap - On Sunday

We went to Harrah yesterday to help set up a fireworks stand.  The truck was scheduled to deliver at 1pm but didn't get there until almost 4pm.  It seems the truck had gotten stuck at another person's fireworks stand and they had to get a tow (can you imagine having to tow a semi?). 

There were 10 of us working (8 of which really worked hard) to unload 11 pallets worth of fireworks.  On the ride home last night I couldn't feel my right shoulder although its much better now and praise God, Charlie didn't hurt his back - something he does quite often when doing something like this. 

My oldest niece, Nicole,  is staying there for the entire two weeks (we're scheduled to come and work June 30 - July 4) and so Bethany decided to stay with her.  Bethany was also getting along well with one of Nicole's other cousins who was there, so I think she'll have a good time.  My Mom's going to bring some clothing over for her since Harrah's much closer to Oklahoma City than Tulsa.

On our way over to Harrah, we passed through Henrietta, a town built on many hills and valleys.  There we saw a new sight for most of us - a mudslide!  Actually, there were two or three of them and several roads closed off due to rushing waters.  We've obviously been having lots of rain lately and are forecast to have chances continuing next week.  The temperatures are forecast to be in the high 80s which for over here means mid to high 90s so we'll be praying for cooler temps and the grace to endure the high ones.
