Quiet Life Homestead

A Question

I was wondering how many of you also have blogs at homeschool blogger?  I've been trying to decide if I want to start one there as well.  I really like homesteadblogger and would prefer to keep it as my only blog, but do realize that some people don't think we should have homeschooling stuff on here.  Then again, isn't homeschooling a part of homesteading?  For me it is.  Anyway, I was just wondering how many of you have one on each.  If so, please let me know.  Also, how different is that community?

Are there really people here at Homesteader that don't want to see home schooling stuff?? Wow, like you said, home schooling is a part of MANY homesteads!
Anyway, I do have a blog at Homeschool blogger but I don't post there nearly as often as I do here. I have a home school category within my homestead blog and post all related entries there. I dunno, for me I seem to have more in common with the folks here, overall. To me, my life isn't all about home schooling, but home schooling is part of my life and our homestead, so I seem to like the fit of Homestead blogger.

Yikes! I certainly hope that people don't mind hearing about home education here...

I don't post homeschool stuff all the time, but I agree that it's part of our homesteading/farming experience. I think blogging is about all aspects of our life and I enjoy reading how others live, their family, faith, etc.

I had a blog at Homeschoolblogger (that's where I was introduced to the blogging world) and it truly is a lovely community. However, I had THE WORST time getting things to work for me. (Logins were impossible, and sometimes I couldn't even view any blogs.)

It was so frustrating that I stopped blogging all together for a while. They have updated their server and I still have no luck--but then I found this site. :o)

It is a very nice place to blog and you will enjoy it, but for me, trying to keep two blogs would be tough! I have enough of a time getting one done!

Amy

I have one over there.............

and you can get the link off of my homestead blog here, it is "Only By God's Grace". I also mix the two together. I talk about homeschooling here and I talk about homestead things over there.

I am also the Co-Manager for the Homeschool Nations over at homeschool blogger.

Yes, we have had a bit of problems for quite a while but with the new server, things are going pretty good. I am not saying that you might not find a problem here or there maybe, but all of that mess that we were having to fight through for months, is over.

If you like to blog and want to set up one for homeschooling, I say go jump in , the water over there is great. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Pat

Vicki,
I can't imagine not being able to talk about homeschooling here. I homeschool so therefore it is part of my homestead.
Blessings,
Trixi

I have one, too.

I have a blog at homeschool blogger...Although I haven't talked much on it. I had some frustrating episodes, but I know they've worked out some things over there and I did try it and it is better.,..I love that the friend's link works over there again... that just makes catching up so much easier!

I rarely post over there, though. I am trying to decide whether to keep it or revamp it...or close it. *sigh*. I post so much stuff over here...I don't have time to post over there... I am thinking combining might be for the best... I've been over there since before here, but here is where my heart is.

Warmly, Melissa

I also had a blog over at homeschoolblogger, but I did not enjoy it as much as this blog. Plus, I do not academically educate my children anymore. Personally, I do not have any problems with the site, but nobody ever commented again after I said I had stopped homeschooling. I was talking about nutrition, weight loss, and childcare, but no one would respond. I really love this blog and will remain here. Good luck with whatever you choose.
Blessings,
~Farrah
