They're Back! & I Almost Had a Convertible

I picked up the boys at my in-laws house around 1pm then we drove down to Coweta to see Charlie.  The boys were very excited about their visit and were talking 90 to nothing - but that's okay.  It feels so good to have them back home!!!!

God was watching over us at Charlie's work.  See, they are doing construction (not Charlie, some other guys) and making a building right next to Charlie's work.  Well, they have one of those big machine things that are used to carry things like big cement blocks that they were using to move....big cement blocks.  When we first came everything was alright.  Then the boys and I went to Sonic to pick up some floats and bring them back.  As I turned into the parking lot at Charlie's store, the guy with the big machine thingy (what is it called?) was coming down the exact middle of the way.  I didn't know what he was going to be doing so I just stopped and waited for him to go one way so I could go the other.  He just kept coming until I finally pushed my horn for dear life.....you see, he was about 1-2 feet from running over me.  I don't know why I waited so long to honk, I just figured he was waiting to see what I would do.  Well, he heard the horn and stopped, THANK THE LORD, THE CAR WASN'T HIT AND NO ONE WAS HURT!  You should have seen the look the guy gave me though, like I was at fault somehow.  One of Charlie's employees was out there along with the guy who owns the property and they both gave the guy a piece of their minds.  Here's my question.....if you can't see over something while driving one of those things, aren't you suposed to have someone watching you at all times to make sure no accidents happen?  I praise the Lord that nothing happened, but what if he hadn't stopped in time?

I asked Charlie to bring the camera home so I can take a picture of the rug so hopefully he doesn't forget!  Time to rest with the boys..................

Seems more often than not, construction folks tend to forget there are or may be others using the same areas. They don't think before moving those machines.
What an ordeal! Goodness! Thank The Lord no one was hurt -- and you don't have a convertible there in "Tornado Alley"

I'm so glad to hear that you are all ok! That's just too close for comfort!

And I'm glad you have your boys back... Peace and quiet is so overrated! LOL!
