Update on a few thingsFirst of all, the boys are doing quite well. They called and asked me to bring them some snacks as the lady in charge of snacks wasn't there today. One of the librarians commented to me that the boys were doing really well. Dallas even worked on alphabetizing some books for them during a down time. They aren't allowed to read while they are there and so get a bit bored when they don't have anything to do, but I think they'll be just fine. Bethany signed up for the program while we were there. She was trying to decide which program to be in as she hasn't finished her sixth grade work yet (it will be this fall once she does). As soon as she saw a picture of the stuffed bison that the kids earn, I knew she'd go with the children's program. The teen program has various electronic items the kids can win and she isn't the least bit interested in that. Both programs have coupons and the children's program has various prizes, but I think she just wants the stuffed animal! I spoke with Mom this weekend and asked about Angie (the one who's trailer burnt down). Mom said she's doing as well as can be expected. She says she feels the prayers so please keep them up. Also, donations have been coming in like crazy! Someone has donated another mobile home, others have donated items such as clothing, knick nacks, and enough furniture to furnish a 4000 square foot home! The dog and kitten were still at the vet this weekend, but hopefully will be able to come home soon. Holly got her 5-6 mouse! We aren't sure if it is number 5 or 6 because we found a partial head (sorry, I know its grose!) and then two days later found a body. We don't know if they belong to each other or not. Anyway, she's beating Charlie who has caught 3 mice - I'm sure he'll use being out of state as an excuse! Larken killed one of those black and white house spiders while Bethany and I were gone. We found the carcass right by the front door. I suppose it could have been Holly (who does part time work in spider killing), but we're counting it for Larken so she doesn't feel left out. :) I'm getting ready to pick the boys up and then we'll be clock watchers waiting until its time to go to the airport. Maybe we'll watch a movie to help the time go faster. Speaking of movies, I finally was able to find the Christy series and today Bethany and I watched the first episode while we were crocheting. That is, until Larken took off with one of the yarn balls, but that's a story for another time! { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 113 of 288 } { Next Page } |
