Thursday - Happenings and Prayer Request (a little upsetting)We were up pretty late last night so didn't get as early a start as I'd like. Today Bethany and I are going to work on the loveseat, we finally have a plan and are excited to see how it all comes out. I'm not sure what the boys are going to be doing, probably cleaning up their room - VERY MUCH NEEDED! I purchased some yarn yesterday and will spend some time crocheting when I get a chance. Most important is the love seat and then we'll see after that. The boys begin their volunteer work Monday and I'm trying to figure out how we're going to work our schooling in with that. I don't know if I should skip the days they are working, skip the summer, or just have light days on the days they work. Honestly, I do believe we could get quite a bit done before 11:30, when we'll be leaving to take them to the library. I just haven't decided and need to pray more about it. My Mom works two jobs (Target and at a veternary clinic) and a co-worker at the second listed place had a tragedy occur earlier this week. Her name is Angie and she really needs prayer. She and her boyfriend live, well, lived in a mobile home. The other night he woke up and found the trailer on fire. They both got out and so did one of their dogs. They lost 4 other dogs as well as cats, fish, and various reptiles. She spent the night in the hospital for smoke inhalation (spelled wrong but hang with me) and the dog is still at the vet getting oxygen treatments and such. The firemen found a small kitten still alive under the house the next day and think it will be alright. Angie's having a very hard time and can't sleep. She says anytime she closes her eyes she sees the smoke and fire and hears her dogs "screaming." I'm sorry if this bothers anyone reading this - well it bothers me - please just keep her in your prayers. Charlie says Montana is beautiful - I told him that I knew it was because he told me when he went last year! Cheeky monkey! He and the guys are driving down to Sheridan today, I'm sure he'll tell me Wyoming is nice as well. Larken keeps looking for "daddy" but isn't quite driving us crazy yet. She won't eat though, I'll give her another day or so and if she still won't eat I'll buy her some canned food as a treat. That's all for right now. Thanks for reading. Oh, I put the ham on to cook and noticed that it was 99 cents a pound. The turkeys are both 88 cents per pound, but I got the ham price off a wee bit last night. Still a good deal! { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 117 of 288 } { Next Page } |
