Today the kids are working on their unfinished schoolwork.  While they're doing that I'll be working in the living room and then the computer area straightening up.  Rellamom's home management entry has given me some great ideas and I can't wait to get started.  I just hope I have the follow-through needed to get the job done!

Bethany and I will make our notebooks, no use not starting her off as well.  Dallas has decided that he's going to make Bethany a new dollhouse (she's redecorated her current one SEVERAL times plus it never really got finished being built).  He came to me this morning and told me his plans for it, even though we don't have the money right now for wood.  Afterwards he wants to make himself one of those loft beds with a bookshelf on one end, a wardrobe on the other, and a desk underneath for his computer and workspace for his homeschooling.  He showed me the plans for this last night.  He's got everything measured out in 3D, just like one of those plans you might see in a decorating magazine!  He says after he finishes Bethany's dollhouse he might see about making more dollhouses to sell.  I had forgotten all about his woodworking abilities as they've lain dormant for the most part the past few years due to living in apartments.  Then I remembered last night that yes, this is the same child who at the age of 4 fixed my broken kitchen table and chairs!  He so much wants to find a job so he can help out with the house payments, groceries, and utilities, and it just kills him that no one will hire a 14 year old (15 in August).  I'm hoping this library volunteering will help prepare him for working and also give him some good references.
