Monday Update

Bethany and I have been making bread today while listening to the news coverage of the Virginia Tech shootings.  Here in Oklahoma we are getting ready to once again remember April 19, the Murrah Federal Building.  At times like these we must be in constant prayer, but even more importantly, we should always be in constant prayer.  Sometimes its hard to remember to pray for our country, our President, the troops, Legislators, etc., until something like this happens.  I know for myself, I have a hard time remembering to remember these above and more.  When I think of people and needs I do lift them up in prayer, but I would like a more organized way.  I'm going to start writing these in my planner so that I may remember.

The beans are cooking, the bread's rising, and I've been pouring over a 3-ring binder that I made up when we were living in Panama.  It is filled with quilt designs and instructions and divided by difficulty.  I moved the material into part of the kitchen and vacuumed where the boxes have been.  This way Charlie can get to his leather.  We've been blessed with warm weather and so the windows are open, not much breeze though.  We're to have rain tomorrow with temps in the 60s.  As long as the wind isn't too much I'll have the windows open tomorrow as well.

That's all for now.  We're going to eat some ice cream before the bread's ready to punch down.

You are right, we forget to pray until something bad happens again. My son has friends that go to Va Tech but we are waiting to hear about them. My son applied to go to school there when we lived in Virginia.
